The Mesa Chamber of Commerce offers a unique opportunity as an association for potential interns to not only learn a range of skills in a professional setting but also meet and network with member organizations that fit the intern’s intended field of study.

As a successful intern with the Mesa Chamber of Commerce, you will engage in a wide-ranging collection of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Member engagement – Communicating with members via digital, phone, or in-person actions.
  • Event support – Working closely with Chamber staff on the Chamber’s wide range of committees, networking, and other events to ensure members are provided a world-class experience. Activities include greeting and checking in attendees at the event, reminding attendees of the event in advance, and providing support for staff during the event.
  • Administrative support – As an association with over 1,000 members, the work to keep member records current is ongoing.

Interns may engage in additional opportunities based on specialized skill sets, such as:

  • Graphic Design & Document Layout – Working with staff to create professional images and documents that showcase the Chamber’s activities and events.
  • Media Production – Working with members to showcase their stories and opportunities to a wider audience via audio and video.
  • Committee work in industry clusters. The Chamber offers opportunities for interns to support work in industry clusters such as industry & Defense, Healthcare, Education, Technology, and more.

Successful interns will work as a team member and be solution-oriented. They will communicate openly. They will ask questions to understand processes and their impact on a successful project.

Time Commitment

The Chamber works to provide a flexible intern opportunity to candidates, asking for a minimum of 12 hours a week, working with the intern to create a schedule that meets their school and life needs.

Paid or Unpaid

The Mesa Chamber of Commerce Internships are unpaid.
