About EVE Pet Hospital

EVE Pet Hospital is a 24/7 privately-owned and women-owned emergency veterinary hospital. They provide affordable emergency care surgery, endoscopy, and urgent care.

While the veterinary industry is predominantly female, many leadership positions are still held by men. EVE Pet Hospital wanted to see women in leadership positions and after having seen how staff members are treated at other places, they wanted to create an environment where people enjoy going to work. They additionally wanted to make pricing affordable so they can provide care to as many pets as possible. Part of the reason that veterinary medicine is becoming more expensive is that corporations are taking over successful hospitals and paying their support staff very little while the profit is given to the people who never touch the pets. At EVE Pet Hospital, the owners are the ones treating your pets.

EVE Pet Hospital is here for pet parents in Mesa and surrounding areas who need care for their fur babies right away, but don’t want to compromise on quality. EVE offers a unique approach, with greater availability and convenience than a general practice, but at a more affordable price than a large specialty referral hospital. They are also unique in their commitment to inclusivity – creating a welcoming environment for the community.

Meet the Team

Dr. Shannon Kafer and Dr. Kaleigh Robinson met while working as associates at the same emergency veterinary hospital. They both had previously worked their way up through the industry from kennel assistants to doctors, with Dr. Kafer even making a detour to get her RVT license. Therefore, they both have the utmost respect for every position in the hospital. They loved their floor teams but were very disappointed when their management seemed to be disconnected from the day-to-day struggles of the staff. They were also disappointed with restrictions on hair color and visible tattoos/piercings in today’s more inclusive world. Eventually, Dr. Kafer and Dr. Robinson were convinced they must open a private practice to really accomplish what they wanted in their working environment.
