The Government Affair Committee met for their July meeting last week with the opportunity to speak with Senator Eva Burch.

Senator Burch spoke on the importance of listening. She believes that it is critical to work collaboratively, despite differing opinions that may present themselves. She elaborated on her openness to decisions, and the importance of hearing directly from her community.

Additionally, Eric Emmert from Dorn Policy Group presented the committee with the monthly legislative updates. Eric reminded the committee of the upcoming EVCCA Ballot Measure Forum Breakfast, which will take place on Thursday, September 5, from 8:30 to 10:30am, at the Chandler Center for the Arts. Admission is currently $20 per person. For more information on this event or to register, please click here.
