Mesa East Valley Technology Council: April Meeting
The Mesa East Valley Technology Council met virtually on April 10, 2024, to discuss a handful of updates in the technology community.
Staff Liaison Bob Nelson reviewed the most recent and upcoming Chamber updates, including a Mesa Morning Live on workforce and education, the Green Flag Program with Mesa Community College, and the Mesa Community College Pitch Contest.
Committee Chair Diane Meza shared information on a Programming and System Analysis Advisory event on Friday, May 3. See details about the upcoming event on the flyer below.
Bob Nelson shared on behalf of the Chamber and Meta information on a series of complimentary workshops for small business owners and nonprofit organizations. In late March, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce collaborated with Meta to bring a series of presentations to Chamber members and the community. There were over 92 attendees in total over three presentations. We received very positive feedback over the "insightful" experience.
The group discussed the upcoming technology survey they plan to send to all Chamber members. In the meantime, they are planning what questions to ask non-technology members.
Furthermore, the group touched on topics such as the use of AI in the workplace, fiber network construction in the city, and Cox Equity Programs.
The Mesa East Valley Technology Council plans to meet in person for a networking opportunity in May. Click here to register for their next meeting.
